With small business experience and a background in economics, contract theory, and transaction design, Matt can advise on a wide range of issues that arise in a business setting.

Matt assists business clients at all stages. He helps new entrepreneurs form businesses, advising on forms of organization and drafting governing documents that suit their particular needs. Once a business is operational, Matt drafts and reviews contracts and helps navigate ongoing compliance requirements. If disputes arise, Matt can assist with negotiation, resolution, or litigation. Finally, Matt can design ownership transfers, exit agreements, and dissolution plans to ensure smooth conclusions to clients’ business dealings.

In addition to his business focus, Matt is broadly interested in designing and reviewing written agreements. He advises on employment contracts, lease agreements, purchase agreements, and a range of other contracts, ensuring they meet the client’s needs and goals while avoiding potential pitfalls.
